Point Blank vs Pointless

Just a quick note about the Senate-Harper scandal.

I’ve seen news about police officers that have shot innocent, unarmed civilians point blank and their punishment seems to be little more than a slap on the wrist, usually a suspension with pay.

Senators?  Penalized and suspended without pay.

This is basically a directive from the PMO, despite the fact that the PMO is not supposed to be able to exert influence on the Senate.

So … why the rush, why the panic, why the insistence to silence the Senators that have stuffed their gills on public funds?

Threats of alienation seem a logical step, but it will only infuriate the Senators.  ALL of them.
