Here Comes the Double Standard

Toyota executives have faced a lot of grumpy politicians lately.  I’m not here to defend either group.

Here’s the latest about interrogations that are taking place in Canada.

Now … is it me, or are we seeing the introduction of some unique double-standards, possibly brought on by the fact that ours and the American government are now major shareholders in two of the crappiest (car) companies on the planet?

Wasn’t it just last month that GM issued a recall for 1.3 million vehicles earlier in March?  Where are the politicians with this issue?  Why aren’t we seeing grand tribunals and inquisitions for Government Motors?

Oh yeah … why would shareholders risk their ROI?
