What Are We Doing About Canada’s Shadow Pandemic?
As Canadians ramp up their acceptance and intake of vaccines to reduce the incidence of Covid-19 and variants, a more disturbing and shocking increase in opioid deaths, suicides and general mental illness has become deeply entrenched.
The shoddy approach that all of our governments have had with keeping Covid under control have amplified so many issues, but I don’t think any will be as important as repairing the prospects and opportunities of the generations that will take over after the mess we’ve left for them.
Opioid deaths in Ontario climbed to 2,050 in 2020 and the numbers keep climbing as lockdown requirements continue.
The number of deaths recorded in Ontario from Covid during the same period total 4,098.
Is there a vaccine against stupidity, negligence and greed when it comes to opioids?
What are we doing to stop this ‘shadow pandemic’?
The Liberals Need To Drop Bill C-10
I’m growing weary of seeing just how idiotic the Liberal vendetta is against ‘the digital giants’.
Bill C-10 is a disaster and Heritage Minister Stephen Guilbeault needs to resign.
If he doesn’t, he’s going to hand a majority to the Conservatives in the next election.
#MichaelGeist is the only person I trust with commentary on this Bill C-10 and he once again lifts the veil on Bill C-10 (https://www.michaelgeist.ca/2021/05/not-just-big-techbillc10), an effort to control pretty much everything that lives in binary code. I recommend you read his blog to understand it’s not a ‘left-right’ thing, as folks on all sides are opposed to what the federal Liberals want to implement.
