London, ON Catholic Diocese: “We Won’t Be Bullied”

Give me a break!

“We won’t be bullied”.

So don’t.  No one is asking you to take public money for your ancient, patronizing and controlling stance on women’s rights.

A London, Ontario Catholic Diocese has been caught complaining about federal government rules concerning funding for programs, including employment handouts.

I’m sure at least $4 million per year for the London area alone will go to much more beneficial programs that don’t include alienating women.

Under the new government, any funding for programs must be consistent with government policy concerning women’s rights and reproductive rights, including the right to abortion.

I suggest the next step should be to remove tax-exempt status for religious institutions.

That’s right … we can go down that path if you want.
