The Most Important Election in US (And Possibly Global) History

I yearn for a Harris/Walz win in the US today.

The competition shouldn’t be any competiton at all.

Donald Trump is a delirious, rambling train wreck.

And yet somehow, he’s still the only viable candidate for the Republicans.

He’s a criminal.

Thirty-four felony convictions. Charges of fraud, election subversion, and obstruction. Here’s a list of the key charges against Trump:

• The New York State “Hush Money” Case
• The Federal Classified Documents Case
• The Federal Election Interference Case
• The Georgia Election Interference Case

The list of charges grow and grow and yet he’s still a candidate for the President of the United States.

He had this position before and he showed allegiance with Vladamir Putin.

He defies everything that Canada tries to do and has even threatened Canada with ignoring us if/when Putin decides to extend into North America.

His billionaire friends are shutting down democracy as we speak. Pun intended. The media doesn’t call out his bullshit EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Instead, Trump has threatened to shoot journalists and imprison his opponents.

He has shown admiration for Nazi generals.

He is a supporter of Project 2025. Project 2025 is now Agenda 47. What is Project 2025?

• Project 2025 proposes enforcing laws that make it illegal to mail abortion pills over state lines, criminalizing pornography and eliminating the Department of Education.
• It advocates a sweeping elimination of environmental regulations and a crackdown on programs to boost diversity in the workplace, which the project argues are broadly illegal.
• It calls for a broad expansion in presidential power by boosting the number of political appointees and increasing the president’s authority over the Justice Department.
• Cut overtime protections for 4.3 million workers
• Stop efforts to lower prescription drug prices
• Limit access to food assistance, which an average of more than 40 million people in 21.6 million households rely on monthly
• Eliminate the Head Start early education program, which serves over 1 million children annually
• Cut American Rescue Plan (ARP) programs that have created or saved 220,000 jobs
• Restrict access to medication abortion
• Push more of the 33 million people enrolled in Medicare towards Medicare Advantage and other worse, private options
• Expose the 368,000 children in foster care to risk of increased discrimination
• Deny students in 25 states and Washington, D.C. access to student loans because their state provides in-state tuition to undocumented immigrants
• Roll back civil rights protections across multiple fronts, including cutting diversity, equity, and inclusion-related (DEI) programs and LGBTQ+ rights in health care, education, and workplaces
• It would destroy the US system of checks and balances, although Trump – in his previous presidency – already did that by appointing extremely biased judges to the Supreme Court.

Donald Trump just might be the leader of the ‘free world’ in a few hours and there’s nothing citizens of the rest of the world can do about it.

As these last few tense moments are poised to become American history, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE beg your American Democrat friends and family members to VOTE!!

I have no problem saying that this is the most important election in American history. Ever.

If Donald Trump wins, it’s unlikely that the Democrats will oppose it. Those who win their Representative seats will simply move on, business as usual.

If Donald Trump wins, expect more populist governments, mostly controlled by old white men, to come to power.

Today and the days that follow will be the most important in the history of the United States and I yearn for a Harris/Walz win.

But even if the Democrats win (which they are projected to do), we’ll likely see another more severe January 6, 2001 on our hands.

I am afraid.
