Hey Blue States: Join Canada!!
I’ve drafted many articles that whine about the madness that’s ever-changing in the White House.
Yes, Donald Trump is insane.
Yes, his supporters lack and spine and the GOP should start using the jellyfish as its icon for their brand: spineless, poisonous, eats their children and shits through its mouth.
His latest pile of steaming manure is that we have to ‘redraw’ the borders, particularly around Ontario because of some agreement that he wrote up in crayon, probably while he was using his gold toilet.
However, in the interest of my own well-being, I’m giving up on trying to ‘problem solve’ Felon 47’s issues.
Instead, I’d like to see Blue States join Canada.
Seriously.
As soon as possible, if you don’t mind.
The population of Blue States is roughly 25% of the entire US population. About 30% of American states are decidedly Red States. Almost all of the Blue States had a higher median income and subsidize Red States to the tune of about a TRILLION dollars (US) per year.
In contrast, red states tend to have lower incomes, with economies relying more on agriculture, manufacturing, and natural resources. Several of these states fall below the national average, with Mississippi ($55,000) and Louisiana ($58,000) under $60,000.
45% of the American population lives in swing states. We’ll approach those ones after we get the Blue States.
With 25% of the population, Blue States represent the West and East coasts of the United States:
- California
- Oregon
- Washington
- Vermont
- Maine
- New Hampshire
- Rhode Island
- Connecticut
- New Jersey
- New York
- Massachusetts
- Illinois
- Hawaii
- Colorado
- New Mexico
- Maryland
- Delaware
Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota and a few others were very close in the 2024 election, so we’d love to welcome them as well if they want to join Canada or at least consider a union, much like the European Union. You’d still retain your sense of autonomy, but you’d no longer be a part of the United States.
Sure, it’s probably what Putin wants and it’s why he’s got Krasnov/Trump in the White House, but we can all do better in North America without MAGA.
It’s important for all Canadian leaders to reach out to these Blue States. No in jest, but in all seriousness and request that they consider a new approach to North American management and leadership. The giant white Porta-pottie in the District of Columbia is no longer functional.
