Election? What Election?
Most so-called pundits out there are calling for a spring election in Canada.
My prediction: the Liberals, Bloc, NDP and the Greens will agree in an absolute way that this is the worst possible time to have an election in Canada.
Here’s what I’d love to see happen: they will maintain control of the Parliament until a number of new pieces of legislation are passed, particularly those related to:
- National security & development / improvement of relations with true allies
- Tariffs & trade
- Economic support mechanisms
- Response packages
- Spending programs
- Price & profiteering protection plans
- Strategic use of the CPP and other public pension funds
- Etc etc etc
A budget may even be passed with the support of those who said they would no longer support the Trudeau Liberals.
Why?
Well, for starters, we need stability (unlike DoFo, who was all too happy to pretend he needed an even BIGGER majority to run the province).
Second, it’s no longer the ‘Trudeau Liberals’. I believe that Justin Trudeau watched the US elections closely and decided to finally remove himself from the party when Trump stole the election with Musk’s help. As someone who is no longer running, he can be more nimble with the US as well as with our partners until an election finally IS called.
Third, the GOP in the United States is a complete and utter disaster. MUMP (Musk/Trump) and PUMP (Putin/Trump) have destroyed what very little there was left of any credibility with the United States, so we need a multi-party approach while Parliament is in session to implement ways to protect ourselves from trades wars and the very real threat of a real war, either from MUMP or PUMP.
Ideally, the United States implodes and MUMP/PUMP threats become moot as either a civil war breaks out or the GOP and Democrats finally get their f&cking act into gear and throw Trump and his tech bros in jail. A lot of change has to take place south of the 49th, but I’m actually optimistic that it will and that Americans will start bringing sanity (or something close to it) back to their world of politics, business and diplomacy.
Fourth, we need a proper investigation into how Starlink, X and other technologies are being used against the voting intentions of people in democratic countries. Ideally, we would ban Musk, Starlink and X on the ground of foreign influence and election interference.
Fifth, we need to purge the CBC of all of the charlatans from PostMedia who are working there and who continue to ask inane questions about our right to sovereignty. We need a strong, vocal CBC that will put MUMP/PUMP’s feet to the fire, along with PP, the IDU (possibly the most evil organization on the planet right now) and others. The CBC should be improved greatly to include a uniquely Canadian social media platform and communication network, including satellite control over activities related to national security.
Sixth, there are many reasons from 5 to 1,000 why we should postpone an election. We need to find allies. We need to spend money. We need to develop action plans. And so on and so on and so on.
Finally, it would give the Conservatives a chance to get their knives out against PP. He’s dragged the CPC down from unbelievable highs to potentially losing a majority. We have to give them time to skewer their own and eat their young.
There’s a lot of chaos happening in the world and I think the world will take care of MUMP and PUMP in appropriate and peaceful ways.
Until then, we don’t need a federal election.
